Amy Loschert ND, FABNO- Fellow of the Board of Naturopathic Oncology
My clinical path is a marriage of modern science and research coupled with the wisdom of ancient, time-tested traditional medicine and philosophy.
My professional career started in 2003 as a licensed naturopathic physician where I spent my first ten years in private practice as a general practice physician in many wonderful places in the United States including Arizona, Washington, Colorado, North Carolina and even Minnesota initially. As an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor I was able to personalize people’s nutritional and lifestyle plans with much success to treat several complex, chronic diseases that modern conventional medicine couldn’t heal. Nature-cure modalities such as classical homeopathy, botanical medicine and therapeutic nutrition, hormone balancing, detox, supplements and functional testing when needed were the main pillars of my practice.
Then after 11 years I was called to work with cancer patients. After many patient hours, advanced training and a rigorous examination, I became a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology and licensed as a naturopathic integrative oncologist, a credential held by around 100 physicians in all of North America. Having worked inside hospitals and outpatient infusion centers alongside conventionally trained oncologists and surgeons, I developed an appreciation of the power of true integrative medicine where 1 +1= 3. You reap more success when you receive the benefit from both forms of medicine simultaneously. Currently, I treat both cancer survivors, work with cancer patients integratively who are going through conventional treatment and also have a vibrant general practice seeing adults with mainly hormonal, metabolic and immune related disorders.
I have a passion for helping people live their most healthy and fullling lives where one can achieve anything they want. Cancer patients and survivors are especially poised and inspired to reach for this in their lives, and thus, ironically, I’ve heard many times that a person’s diagnosis of cancer was a “blessing in disguise” or “wake up call” to prioritize themselves and what is most important to them.
